by se last modified 2008-11-18 14:58

First of all: congratulations for buying your own Tux Droid! We hope you will have as much fun using and programming Tux Droid as we have had developing it!

Installing your Tux Droid

This guide is intended for the more user-friendly Linux distributions such as Fedora Core, Ubuntu, Mandriva, Xandros, ... The libraries required for the Tux Droid software will be pre-installed. So setting up Tux Droid with those distro's should be pretty straightforward.

Gentoo, Debian or FreeBSD may require the additional installation of ALSA, libusb and Python. The ALSA and Tux Droid and libusb and Tux Droid links give some guidelines on how to check, install and setup these modules for the more experienced Linux user.

The following how-to's will guide you step by step to setup your Tux Droid:

  1. Connecting Tux Droid to your PC

  2. Setting up Tux Droid as an audio device

  3. Installing tuxsetup

  4. Tux Gadget Manager
