Hello!

I have a problem with the tux i had for christmas. He doesn't say hello anymore. tts works but every sentence is cut. So i can't use my tux anymore.

Has anyone any idea?

Bonjour!

J'ai un problème avec le tux que j'ai eu à noël. Il ne dit plus hello. Le tts fonctionne mais chaque phrase est coupé.

Quelqu'un a une idée?

Thanks/Merci

I got this when i try to update the firmware

Programming fuxusb.hex in the USB CPU
Bootloader Version: 0x03 (3)
Validating...
6789 bytes used (41.44%)
dfu-programmer: failed to release interface 0.
[OK]

The dfu-programmer error is quite weird...

Did you upgrade through the gadget manager? Does your tux still move or is it just the hello sound which is gone?

If it doesn't move, try plugging the dongle while pressing on the button located inside the dongle belly (small hole), then type 'tuxup fuxusb.hex'
That shouldn't fix the audio and hello problem but at least you should be able to upgrade the dongle.
The other problems probably come from tuxcore, you should update tuxcore.hex and tuxcore.eep all together otherwise you don't have the correct startup sequences (hello is part of it). Use 'tuxup tuxcore.hex tuxcore.eep' for that. If that works, you should then update all firmware as you'll have other problems using different versions on different MCU's.

ps. the hex files are located in /opt/tuxdroid/firmware. Use the latest package.
