TTS problem

Posted by JC at April 24. 2008

My TTS daemon isnt starting up. Looking at previous forum post, there is something called 'tuxttsdaemon,' but I can't seem to find it on my system. Is there something I am missing even after installing the tar.gz file?

I don't know if it matters, but I am running FC8.

I got the TTS daemon to work, but I cant update the firmware (which is why I thought the TTS isnt working). I am still getting the error regardless...

You can still try the manual update with tuxup, it might help finding what the problem is. First decompress the firmware tarball which is in /opt/tuxdroid/firmware.

Connect your tux and set it in bootloader mode. Kill tuxd first, then use tuxup with the path of the new folder:
'$ tuxup -m /opt/tuxdroid/firmware/firmware_you_want/'
