Tux on Ubuntu

Posted by Thomas at June 08. 2008

Hello,

I'm considering to buy a Tux Droid. But my knowledge of Linux is not  that good. I'm very good with Windows (which I always use and Mac OSX which i use since 6 months) But I'm afraid I won't be able to use it at all and that it would just be an waste of money. How easy is it to install the Tux Droid, because I also considered to buy the Nabaztag (which is very easy to install) but I didn't like the fact that data was going trough their servers.

Hello Thomas,

If you want to know, Ubuntu is a debian based system, and is very easy to use ( compared to some others linux distributions ). To install TuxDroid on your computer, you only have to doucle click on the 'tuxsetup.deb' avalaible on the download section of this website and download some voices that you want to use (also deb files) ( .deb is the same that .exe but for debian based systems ). To resume, you can install your TuxDroid within 2 simples clicks:
