Hi,

I have installed tuxsetup-1.3-rc1 which seemingly runs ok, updated the firmware to the latest version, installed the English GB voice pack. In the gadget manager it indicates that the demons and wireless connection are working ok.

So far I can control my tuxdroid from the controller window, get him to repeat what I say when the voice recognition window is open, play sounds from the audio flash menu and also get him to play scenes from the scenes window but can't get him to do anything else.

I cannot get gadgets or TTS to work with him, the gadgets manager won't even let me install new gadgets when i drag and drop them to install.

What could be causing this?

Installing gadgets by drag and drop from the web page for me sometimes work, sometimes it wont. Workaround which always works for me is downloading the gadget to the desktop then drag the tgz file to the gadget manager.

Wrt TTS: is the sound daemon running. This is a python process with something like "osl" in the name.

You might try to reboot or to kill tuxd and replug your dongle.

Actually the gadget manager should have a 3rd icon, one for rf established, one for connected to tuxd, one for connected to tts daemon.
