I installed tuxsetup v1.2.2, but i'd like to try the skype gadget. When upgrading the gadget manager to v1.3 (rc1), should I uninstall the v1.2.2 first (it was installed using the .deb file), or can I just install "on top" of the current version?

If I recall correctly uninstalling is not needed as dpkg will do it for you, but of course it never harms to play it safe and explicitly uninstall.

i ended up removing the current package before installing the new one. everything works fine, and i was able to add the skype gadget
