Wired Tux Droid

Are you considering developing a wired version of tuxdroid, i.e. that one can connect to a cat 5 ethernet network ? I'd buy one immediately .... my house is fully networked, and I am not using any wireless microwave polluters - it would be great to connect Tux from my bedroom to my Linux server in the basement - he could be my alarm clock, and much more....

I think simple USB connection (usb-serial or usb-net) would be better.

I don't agree. In that case I'd need a PC constantly on next to my Tux. In my scenario the Tux is in my bedroom, while the server is in the basement .....
